Specto and SOS Sign MOU to Accredit ICDL Centers in 6 Countries
Specto and SOS Children’s Villages International signed recently a Memorandum of
Understanding to accredit ICDL training and testing centers in Djibouti, Jordan, Morocco,
Palestine, Somaliland, and Tunisia. The MOU was signed by Ms. Jalila Manal, ICT Director
of MENA Region, SOS, and Mr. Naseem Abu-el-Haija, Specto Manager. MOU was signed in
Casablanca, Morocco. The purpose of the MOU is to jointly support the training and ICDL
certification of SOS Children, youth and mothers. According to the MOU, Specto will accredit
SOS computer labs in the above countries to offer ICDL training and testing. Specto will
waive the accreditation fees, and will also qualify 2 trainers per country by offering them a
workshop on ICDL modules, registration numbers and tests (Base & Standard modules), all
as gift from Specto to SOS. It is to be noted that SOS is a non-governmental social
development organization that works in more than 130 countries to prevent family breakdown
and care for children who have lost parental care, or who risk losing it.
